The Alberta Winter Games are coming to Town...and the Library!

The libraries in Spruce Grove, Parkland County and Stony Plain are celebrating the Winter Games! Come check us out as
various programs will be happening all day long between February 9 - February 12.

Entwistle, Tomahawk, Duffield and Keephills Libraries are excited to be putting on Winter Wii Sports Tournaments in the library. Be sure to visit the
"Poet-Tree" created by students at Duffield and Entwistle School!

New Hours!

We are pleased to announce that we are open more hours beginning January 9th 2012.
Your library will be extending their hours in to the evening and on Saturdays to meet the needs of the community. By being open longer hours, more programs will be developed for people of all ages to enjoy and full library services will be availalbe including computer/iPad use & free wifi. We hope that by extending the hours residents and visitors will be able to make use of our facility and services when it is convenient for them.

Traveling Art Show Exhibit at Duffield Library

Duffield Public Library presents..."Capturing Momentum: Sports in Motion" a traveling art exhibt from the Alberta Foundation of the Arts. We are thrilled to be hosting this art exhibit for two weeks at the Duffield Library. Please join us for an opening night reception on Wednesday, December 7 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm in the library. Book Club Blog

We have a new Book Club Blog!
We are pleased to announce that we are starting our first ever blog. We are excited to have patrons comment and share thoughts on the different book club books that they are reading each month. Keephills, Entwistle and Tomahawk libraries all have afternoon book clubs and this is a great opportunity for people who cannot attend the meetings but still want to share their thoughts on the book. As well it is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to review or share their comments about the books.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Yoga @ the Library

Our Health and Wellness series @ the library begins with YOGA!

We are pleased to have a certified Moksha Yoga Instructor run a 10 week yoga program
at each of the libraries beginning the first week of October and running until the first week of December. 
If its your first time or if you are experienced in yoga, we encourage everyone who is interested to give it a try!

The library also has Yoga Kits available to borrow so you can receive the benefits of yoga at your own pace in your home! Kits come equipped with
a yoga mat, book, blocks & straps, and 3 Yoga DVD's!

Participants who are interested can register online through our website www.pcmlibraries.ab.ca or contact their library for more information. 

Pre-registration cost: $50.00 for 10 week program, or drop in at $10.00/session.
