"The Help"

A few comments on the "enjoyable read" from the Wistle 'N' Book club: Unbelievable! Cannot relate! Mind sets. Do you know your heritage? Brave support group. Beware of chocolate pies! Intense. I needed to read the end first, so I could sleep. Stuart was weak and a coward. Why in the south more than the north? Does this happen in Canada? Hilly - superficial. People were afraid of Hilly's power. Who was stronger? Skeeter? Minny? or Aibileen? Will there be a sequel? All in all a great discussion was held, which open up many new subjects. :)

Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda

Interweaving the stories of Kavita, Somer, and the child that binds both of their destinies, Secret Daughter poignantly explores the emotional terrain of motherhod, loss, identity, and love, as witnessed through the lives of two families--one Indian, one American-- and the child that indelibly connects them

This was an excellent book -

This was an excellent book - very thought provoking and heartwarming. I love how the lives of two families who are worlds apart became intertwined in this amazing story of family and motherhood.
